What is APSKIN?

APSKIN is the world’s first skincare product with breakthrough Activated Phenolics, the world’s most potent antioxidant extracted and scientifically formulated from apples.

The cream harnesses the transformative power of eight antioxidants, including phenolic antioxidants, to maximise cellular synergistic affinity.

APSKIN is suitable for all skin types to protect, transform and restore your skin’s condition at a cellular level.

What are APSKIN’s benefits?

Here are its benefits:

  • APSKIN protects, regenerates and restores skin at the cellular level like no other face cream available in the market.
  • With SMARTSENSE technology, the goodness of Activated Phenolics diffuses into the skin tissue, immediately boosting the radiance of skin cells, giving you healthy-looking and supple skin all day long. It is designed to be absorbed by the skin. It does not leave an oily layer like most other products.
  • APSKIN is formulated to protect elastin and collagen structures, leaving your skin transformed, glowing and ageless.
  • A luxurious, hydrating and restorative face cream that smoothens and improves your complexion.
  • Noticeable results can be seen after using APSKIN for 3-5 days, especially in areas of discoloration, damage or stress.

Why apples?

Out of the many edible fruits in the world, apples have the highest concentration and broadest variety of phenolic antioxidants. In other words, apples have the more of these 'ultra' antioxidants than anything else.

What part of the apple is used?

The whole apple is used, except the seeds. We use the peel and the flesh to ensure we have the best phenolic profile to achieve the highest potency and broadest spectrum of phenolic antioxidants

How many types of apples are used?

There are six carefully selected apple types used to formulate the highest potency and broadest spectrum of phenolic antioxidants. The types of apples were selected during five years of testing. Some of the apple varieties used are only available in Australia.

What are phenolic antioxidants?

Phenolic antioxidants are ‘ultra antioxidants’. They have a number of key features:

  • They are more bioavailable than regular antioxidants. This means that your body will absorb 90% of the antioxidant value versus around 5% for normal antioxidants.
  • They will not pro-oxidate. This means they will not become free radicals and attack your cells (as can happen with normal antioxidants).
  • They are broad spectrum and single source. This means they all work together to help your body neutralise the broadest range of free radicals.

Put simply, what are Activated Phenolics?

Activated Phenolics means that Renovatio Bioscience’s extraction technology has been applied to 100% naturally extract the phenolic antioxidants in apples safely and concentrate them into a form that your body can absorb.

What are the differences between APSKIN and other creams that are available in the market?

APSKIN is the only skincare cream to have the transformative power of eight phenolic antioxidants, extracted and activated from a single natural source – APPLES - to maximise cellular synergistic affinity, which means it works well within the cellular and tissue system. It can also be used on your face and body.

This is the first time it has been possible to extract and activate phenolic antioxidants from a single source and it is a result of research and development undertaken at the University of Newcastle in Australia.

The power of phenolic antioxidants comes from the number of hydroxyl groups they have at the molecular level. Phenolic antioxidants have many more than normal antioxidants and this makes phenolic antioxidants much more powerful in fighting free radical molecules that damage skin cells, cause inflammation and accelerate aging.

Why is the cream named as ‘APSKIN’?

APSKIN is the combination of the first two alphabets in APPLE and SKIN. The first two alphabets of the APSKIN brand are also the initials of Activated Phenolics, our active ingredient. We wanted a memorable and simple name that embraces what our product aims to deliver: protect, transform and restore your skin.

Has APSKIN been clinically tested?

No. However, it has been tested in a cohort study for skin inflammation such as eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea; and for cosmetic appearance and textures such as fine lines, wrinkles and stretch marks.

We also have several anecdotal reviews from customers for wound healing and dry skin conditions.

Is APSKIN organic?

The ingredients in APSKIN are 85% organic. We use purified organic water. The other 15% comes from the source of apples that we cannot certify as organic.

What is the preservative in APSKIN?

Calcium sorbate. It is not a paraben.

Where does APSKIN’s fragrance come from?

Our fragrance is extracted naturally using our technology from Granny Smith apple peel. It is water-based so you do not have to worry about it being sensitive skin.

APSKIN is hypoallergenic, which means it is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.

How many times do I need to apply APSKIN in a day?

For best results, apply a small amount of APSKIN on your face, or other areas of the body, twice a day – once in he morning and once at night.

With APSKIN’s SMARTSENSE technology, the goodness of Activated Phenolics diffuses into the skin tissue, immediately boosting the radiance of skin cells, giving you healthy-looking and supple skin all day long. It is designed to be absorbed by the skin. It does not leave an oily layer like most other products.

Does APSKIN work on damaged skin, pigmentation or scarring?

Yes, APSKIN is perfect for this because it reduces skin inflammation and encourages the regeneration of skin cells.

Is APSKIN suitable for people with sensitive skin?

Yes, APSKIN is hypoallergenic and is formulated to be gentle on all types of skin – for men, women and children. It controls the moisture and hydration level to ensure optimal hydration without making the skin oily and sticky.

It is gentle enough to be used around the eyes and the lip area.

Can cancer patients use it?

It does not help to cure the melanoma. However, the Activated Phenolics in APSKIN aids in wound healing.

Does APSKIN contain sunblock?

APSKIN does not contain sunblock, hence does not protect your skin from sunburn. We recommend you apply sunblock after you use APSKIN.

However, we have anecdotal evidence that APSKIN helps with sunburn recovery, reducing the redness and dry skin in 3-5 days. This is because the antioxidants in APSKIN help with skin regeneration and support cellular repair.

Is APSKIN vegan-friendly. Do you test on animals?

Yes, APSKIN is vegan-friendly. We do not test our products on animals.

Do I need to use other creams?

Most people do not find the need to use other products once they start using APSKIN. But if you want to, you should apply APSKIN immediately after cleansing and toning and before using cosmetic products or sunblock. APSKIN is formulated to be absorbed easily into your skin.

Is APSKIN be safe for use on children?

Yes, APSKIN is safe to be used by anyone over one year old. However, when in doubt, we recommend that you speak to your doctor.

Why did my skin break out after using APSKIN?

Every skin is different. People with acne-prone skin benefit from the light but powerful moisturising power of APSKIN and also prevent scarring and marks.

Acne or pimple is mostly a reflection of the inside than outside. Therefore, perhaps a change in diet is more likely the cause of break out rather than APSKIN along with the hormonal changes.

During every stage of formulation and testing APSKIN was not found to have cause breakout.

The other thing that may be a cause is because of its ultra fast absorption, some people tend to put too much because they are used to cream that are not being absorbed. A tiny amount is enough
